Nouryon is a global company with operations in over 80 countries. Your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, the Netherlands, and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. When we transfer Personal Information internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information as required by applicable law.
4.1 Transfers from the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom
For transfers of Personal Information from the EEA or UK to countries that have not been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection, we use one or more of the following safeguards:
Nouryon conducts Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) to evaluate the level of data protection in the recipient country and to identify and implement supplementary measures where necessary, in accordance with the European Data Protection Board's Recommendations 01/2020.

4.2 Transfers from China
For transfers of Personal Information from China to other countries, we comply with the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) requirements, including the measures listed below. If you are located in China and communicate with Nouryon personnel through enterprise messaging platforms (such as WeCom) or corporate email, your communication records (including message content, your name, contact details, and timestamps) may be transferred outside of China to Nouryon's CRM systems. This transfer is for the purpose of customer relationship management, sales support, business continuity, and compliance record-keeping. By continuing to communicate with Nouryon through these channels after receiving notice of this practice, you acknowledge such transfer. If you do not wish for your communication records to be transferred outside of China, please notify your Nouryon contact to discuss alternative arrangements. Nouryon has implemented safeguards for these transfers, including standard contracts for the cross-border transfer of personal information filed with the Cyberspace Administration of China (where required), data processing agreements with service providers, and technical security measures including encryption and access controls.
